누가 만들어?! Who made this?

As the annoyances of big city life increased, I decided to put myself into something that felt more worthwhile – filming music by people younger, thinner and better looking than me.

대도시 삶의 답답함이 커져 가면서  나는 무언가 더 의미 있는 일을 해 보고자 결심했다. 나보다 잘생기고, 날씬하고, 어린 서울의 젊은이들이 만든 음악을 영상으로 담아 보자고.

In 2008, none of the great bands in Seoul seemed to have a decent live video – all single cameras zooming in and out, terrible fuzzy sound or, worst of all, filmed on a camera phone (urrrgh). So, I wanted to give them what they deserve – quality live videos.

2008년 당시,  잘나가던 서울의 그 어느 밴드도 제대로 된 라이브 비디오가 없는 듯 했다. 카메라 한 대로  줌의 밀고 당김을  반복하거나, 아니면 음질이 아주 나쁘거나. 그 중에  최악은 핸드폰 카메라로 찍은 비디오였다. 그래서 나는 그들에게 걸맞는 양질의 라이브 비디오를 만들어 주고 싶었다.

The whole point of this site is to try and get more people in the venues to see these bands. For people to get a little taster before paying W10,000 on the door.

이 블로그의 궁극적인 목적은 더 많은 사람들이 밴드들의 공연을 보러 가게 하는 것이다. 만원의 입장료를 내기 전에 ‘밴드 맞보기’를 제공하는 것이다.

That’s a noble enough motive, right?!

아주 순수한 동기라고 본다.
